SEO Consultant Experienced In Crafting Winning Search Engine Marketing Strategies
Hi, I’m the Witney SEO Guy. I’ve been helping businesses achieve more visibility on search engines for 7+ years’. For many of those years I spent time working at marketing agencies. This agency background has given me a breadth of experience working with clients from a variety of different industries, both in the UK and further afield.
Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) is the practice of optimising websites so that they achieve more visibility on search engines.
SEO works by making technical and content-led amendments to your website, whilst building a reputation online, predominantly based around backlinks.
Typically, this includes on-site, off-site and technical SEO, but can expand further into fields such as Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO) and User Experience (UX).
An SEO consultant is responsible for crafting and executing an SEO strategy.
This often involves working alongside web developers, web designers, content writers and UX professionals to ensure best practices are adhered to.
An SEO consultant may help with implementing best practice, but for many businesses this is best done in-house.
Not all SEO consultants are created equal and unfortunately, there are no official qualifications to determine ability.
There are several things to consider when choosing an SEO consultant and the decision shouldn’t be taken lightly. Google provides a guide on how to find an SEO expert which should give you a good idea of what to look for.
If you want to find an SEO consultant you can trust then check out my guide which expands on some of the points provided by Google.
SEO is one of the best marketing investments you can make.
According to BrightEdge, 68% of online experiences begin with a search engine, so you need to make sure your business is getting found.
By making an investment in SEO now you can ensure your business is getting sustained traffic and will flourish on search engines throughout 2021 and beyond.
SEO is a slow burn process, so achieving results can take between 3 – 12 months. This makes SEO a great addition to a long term digital marketing strategy, but not so great if you want website traffic as soon as possible.
If you want quick wins from your Search Engine Marketing (SEM) then investing in Pay-Per-Click (PPC) is often a sound strategy.
I have 7+ years’ experience working on SEO at some of the top digital agencies in the UK.
I’ve worked with many high profile clients, including Autodesk and Three Mobile, operating alongside some of the best digital acquisition experts in the industry.
In addition to my practical experience, I also hold a BA (hons) Marketing Degree and an IDM Award in Direct and Digital Marketing.
